Indonesia pardons Papuan prisoner (8 Jul 2010)
The Sydney Morning Herald, Amnesty International, Jakarta Post - A prominent Papuan activist jailed for raising an outlawed separatist flag (Yusak Pakage) has been released after Indonesia granted him a pardon, an official said on Thursday.

Explosion heard at Freeport (7 Jul 2010)
The Jakarta Post - Witnesses near gold mining company PT Freeport Indonesia in Timika, Papua, have said they heard a loud explosion coming from the company's headquarters. Local police have yet to confirm the source of the blast.

Talks between Jakarta and Papua: An Interview with Neles Tebay (7 Jul 2010)
Peace Brigades International - Father Dr. Neles Tebay worked at the Diocesan Office of Jayapura for Justitia et Pax where he has published a large number of articles and brochures. He wrote about the possibilities for a peaceful solution and a Jakarta-Papua dialogue. He is the co-founder of the Papua Peace Network which strives to facilitate peace talks between Jakarta and Papua. PBI conducted an interview with Fr. Tebay.

Papuans want a Negotiated Solution (5 Jul 2010)
Neles Tebay - On Friday, 17 June, 2010, the indigenous Papuans – through the Papuan Provincial Legislative Council (DPRP) – handed symbolically back to the Indonesian Government, law 21/2001 on Special Autonomy. It should be understood as an element in the ongoing discussions about dialogue between the Indonesian government and the Papuans. It should neither be dismissed as an irrational act, nor should it lead to the conclusion that referendum and independence are the ultimate goals. It is a cry to be taken seriously: the Papuans are waiting for dialogue to produce a negotiated solution.
