The Jakarta Post - The government has said the situation in the three conflict areas of Aceh, Maluku and Papua are moving steadily toward peace -- but said national security would remain "on alert against separatist movements".

URGENT ACTION - HRD Pastor threatened with death by Army (24 Sep 2007)
A military commander and his men have reportedly threatened to kill Pastor Johanes Djonga for his activism in defence of the human rights of people in Papua province. Amnesty International believes his life could be in danger.

NGO activists tell police of terror and intimindation (19 Sep 2007)
Cendrawasih Pos - A number of human rights activists and leading personalities in West Papua have taken the unusual step of making representations to the police in Jayapura, complaining that they have been subjected to intimidation and terror from unknown persons.
