Hillgrove to explore for gold and copper in West Papua

ANTARA- Australia's mining company Hillgrove Resources Limited (ASX:HGO) will explore for gold and copper in West Papua. Hillgrove's Indonesian unit PT Akram Resources plans explorations over a 181.500 hectare concession in the area bordering the regencies of Sorong and Manokwari, a Hillgrove director David Archer said. The area is believed to have large gold and copper reserves, Archer told the newspaper Investor Daily. Hillgrove has succeeded in striking gold in Sumba, East Nusatenggara. U.S. Freeport has large gold and copper mines in other hilly areas of Papua in Grassberg and Ertsberg.
