A local report claims that police have destroyed Bigiragi village, Puncak Jaya regency, Papua.

It said Tuesday that police burned almost 30 homes on Oct. 11, leaving nothing to the homeowners.

"Half of the village was destroyed," Dewan Adat Papua activist Markus Haluk, who compiled the report, said Wednesday.

"Police also fired shots arbitrarily."

650 people who live in Bigiragi village are now suffering from trauma because of the incident, according to the report.

Earlier, a YouTube video showed the torture of Papuan separatists allegedly committed by the Indonesian soldiers.
