Three People Injured of Stabbings in Jayapura

There people found stabbed on Monday (13/4) night in Waena, Jayapura, five days after a series of pre-election incidents in Papua Province which saw five people killed.

The three persons was found in different locations on Monday night, two of the victims were 40 and 62 years old. One local resident in Waena who found one of the victims and took the victim to the hospital said he found the victim on the street stabbed on the ribs.

Local police declined to give information on the stabbing.

On Wednesday three motorcycle taxi riders killed also by stabbings in separate attacks against five riders in Wamena. Two of the riders were badly injured.

Journalists in the province also received on Monday short message informing that the Cendrawasih University have been set on fire once again after being seized and burned on the election night.
